Outdoor Den creates handcrafted wood furniture. In addition, some indoor or three season type furniture is created along with children’s play equipment, entertainment items and a few fun yard games.

Rob’s background originates in the landscaping field. In 1986 he received a Bachelors Degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Minnesota. During this time he also spent a semester at the University Of Copenhagen, Denmark where he studied various aspects of Scandinavian living. A few years after graduation and working for other landscape companies, Rob went out on his own and started Morse Associates, Inc.

Because the landscape business slows down in the winter in Minnesota, Rob was able to be involved in another area of passion, remodeling.

Through all this, Rob has always wanted to have his own wood shop. In 2001 he finely bought a great piece of property with a great, large, detached garage. On top of that, there is a considerable amount of background associated with this property as it is the site of the original owners of all the property in his childhood neighborhood. After a bit of work and allot of reorganization, his dream of a woodshop became reality and Outdoor Den was born.

Rob is still a Landscape Designer and Project Manager but can now fill the outdoor spaces he designs with the furniture he builds. Aside from his love of woodworking, Rob also enjoys boating, participating in almost any sport and spending time with family, friends and neighbors in his childhood backyard around the bon fire.
